Probably the most recently filmed movie we will screen this semester. The Snake Brothers is set in a small Central Bohemian town and tells the story of two brothers nicknamed “Užovka” (harmless ring-necked snake) and “Kobra” (cobra). Užovka is older, wiser and takes care of his younger sibling Kobra – a junkie and occasional burglar. Each of the brothers deals in his own way with the desolation of his life. A perfect job arranged by a former schoolmate holds the promise of a brighter tomorrow for Užovka. Cobra expects there could something for him out of this business as well. It is about time Užovka teaches Kobra a lesson he will remember.
